HEROINE by M.A.C

Extra, Extra, Read all about it....

Heroine is Permanent.
Sold online Dec.16
Sold in stores Jan 2013

Being a lipstick addict, I have a love/hate relationship with limited edition lipsticks. There is so much frenzy around trying to purchase a lipstick that you know you will be sold-out the same day, especially those released by M.A.C.

I was in the M.A.C store today 12/29/13 and to my surprise they had Heroine, not on display, but along with all the other regular permanent lipsticks. I did get the email from M.A.C when they released the online sale of the lipstick but I was too late and it sold-out online. But their website states the release date for instores was January. Long story short, here it is.

Heroine: Matte Finish, Mid Blue/ Violet Purple with some undertones of Pink.

DIY Holiday Cards

I love strolling down aisles of a drugstore, viewing all the cute new cards. Cards made for all occasions...Baby Showers, Birthdays, Holidays, or just because. But I always tell myself, geez..I can do that & why pay them? This Christmas I wanted to give a little pizzazz to my card. Cards are now like $6-$10 for a card that lights up, plays music or is jus advertising a child's favorite super hero. There are cards that are pop-ups and interactive but in my eyes, the money isn't work it.

I was in need of last minute cards & I decided to stroll to Michael's Craft Store. For a whopping total of $17 I was able to make 10 cards!

Its the basic concept of scrap booking yet you make smaller formats and sheets by cutting and gluing and taping. You can use measurements of an old holiday card as your guideline to how big you would like your card to be. Simple methods of folding either vertical/horizontal & making Square or Rectangle cards can be achieved. As this was last minute and I did not have access to photo paper I did not use photos in my cards. You can print out pictures via your own printer and Photo Paper that you can purchase or you can use an online company to upload pictures and have them mailed to you or available for pick-up.

Materials Used:
Decorative scrapbook paper
Scissors
Glue Stick
Liquid Glue
Double Sided Tape
Stickers
Sharpie
Pen
Photos (optional)

Yes this may use creativity, but don't be fooled...there are so many scrapbooking kits that have everything you would even need to seem a bit creative. There is a world of stencils, stickers, frames and so many decorations for cards and scrapbook pages.

any size paper, this is 12x12
I folded paper vertical then horizontal
Add double sided tape or glue on edges

After folding vertical

Metallic Smudged Eyeliner & Wine Lip (Part 3)

Silver Bells, Silver Bells..

With just a swipe of cream metallic liner, a deep waterline & lip, you have yourself a subtle glitzy look. Great look for an all black outfit or more mature makeup look adding winter frost to your eyelids and a deep red/purple lip.  Perfect with a glass of champagne & shimmering accesories

Focus: Deep dark lip + sheen on the eyes = Old time glamour.

Silent Night Blue Eyes & Natural Lip

Twas the night before christmas....

This look is a big more high drama. Fun spin on a classic smokey eye without using black and instead a deep navy shimmery blue. Add even more drama with a electric blue eyeliner & blue mascara. In the night and before candlelight, your eyes will simply twinkle. Breathtaking.

Focus: Eyes. Want my eyes to pop and speak for themselves. Everything else natural.
