The smell of pine, smoky firewood and sweets. December is here, the end of the year. Whether your on the West Coast or East Coast, North or the South...you feel it.
The brisk wind, the early sunrise and early sunset. Your days cut short and left with long nights to spend your time being productive or maybe wasting away this valuable time. Within myself, I have found early New Year's Resolutions in preparation to a better me. One suggestion I have if you are ready for a change and willing to face all you have done and have not, follow these steps.
Write a list of short term priorities (for ex. appt's, bills due, projects, hobbies that you would like to begin and make)
Write a list of long term goals (for ex. what you would like to accomplish, losing weight, working out, starting a new career)
Now find it within yourself to list all those items in priority. Put dates and timelines on how much time you think you need to accomplish them or reasonable start dates. Make sure you have a deadline as to when you want and need to get them done by. What this will do is have a list of everything on your mind that you have to tackle or want to tackle. I promise you, so much more will make sense as you do this! You may feel pressure to wake up and get it all done but that is why you need to set reasonable dates.
I challenged myself to start a new hobby this week and learn things I haven't before. I started knitting! I started a cleanse to jump start a workout and eating plan to get fit and healthy. I also know all my bills and duties that need to be done along the way and although it isn't easy facing the reality of your own life, it is the best time to pick up and prioritize from where you once left off. I believe you have to finish one chapter before you start another so....start reading!! Learn to pick up hobbies rather than habits. Start your journey into the New Year....making yourself a better YOU.
